Summertime is more delicious than ever with fresh flavors for everyone.
It might be take-it-easy season for the rest of us, but Philly’s restaurant owners are still working around the clock to open new establishments for our summer enjoyment, from classic steak to Thai rolled ice cream.
Here are some of the new additions that are making a staycation suddenly seem super attractive.
The Ritz-Carlton is once again a dining destination with the introduction of Richard Sandoval’s Latin American eatery. Sustainable seafood rules the day with a sushi, ceviche and raw bars, plus a wood fired grill turning out shrimp, lobster and fish, in addition to steaks, chicken and vegetables.

Only great things can happen when one of the highest rated restaurants in the city gets a companion bar next door. Chef Nicholas Elmi’s intimate new ITV promises a wondrous wine list, fine specialty cocktails and craft brews, and small plates with dreamy French-technique touches like smoked potatoes with hazelnut pistou and traditional caviar service.

Celebrity chef Jose Andres brings his veggie game to Philly with a fast casual concept that makes healthy eating a whole lot more attractive. House selections include the Frida Kale bowl with black beans, rice, pumpkin seeds and lemon honey dressing and a signature meatless burger, but there are also endless make-your-own possibilities.
