A New Fast-Casual, Health-Conscious Restaurant is Opening in Center City

Real Food Eatery will be opening at 1528 Walnut Street in place of the previous soft-serve ice cream parlor, Lite Choice. You will be able to choose between a salad or a “Real Plate”, which is a meal with two sides, with hot and cold options. Salads start as simple as a mixed berry salad or a veggie bowl prepared bibimbap-style. The owners are hoping to open mid-July, but no date has been determined yet.

Top it with your choice of protein and dressing. If it’s a Real Plate, pick a base, green (sautéed spinach, braised kale and the like) or grain, choose between herb-roasted chicken thighs, grass-fed skirt steak, slow-cooked pork shoulder, basil-walnut pesto salmon, or roasted portobello mushroom (all seared to order), and finish your plate with two sides, cold or hot…
