It’s officially stuffing season – which means your Thanksgiving guests will be looking forward to that rich, flavorful side dish that complements the perfect roast turkey.
But what happens if some of your guests are following a gluten-free diet? No worries. You can prepare a GF stuffing that’s just as tasty as traditional, and it only takes 10 minutes to make. Bonus: this recipe is dairy-free, too, and you can use turkey drippings in place of broth if you prefer.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 35-40 minutes
Let bread slices air-dry for 1 to 2 hours, and then cut slices into 1-inch cubes.
In a Dutch oven over medium heat, melt butter or spread. Add onion and celery and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
Stir in thyme, sage, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Add bread cubes and mix until evenly coated.
Drizzle broth or drippings over the bread mixture and toss until well mixed.
Stuff your turkey with this mixture, or bake in a greased 2.5-quart casserole dish at 350°F (180°C) for 35 to 45 minutes.
