21 Gross Recipes: Halloween Party Food

As a child growing up, I would count down the days until we would be celebrating Halloween at school. When else could you wear your craziest outfit, have your older sister do your hair and makeup, and go to school without one of the teachers reprimanding you for being a distraction in class? Rather, we would parade around school, and the craziest looking kid was recognized and received an award. But, the costumes and makeup never was what made me the most excited. The food all the parents and teachers would make for our class party was what I loved. The snacks would always be creatively scary and delicious! We have found 21 halloween themed recipes that are sure to impress your kids and all their friends. Heck, why not make these for your adult friends too? They will surely appreciate the throwback to elementary school days.

A simple recipe for spooky, healthy, Halloween finger food.

You will need:

  • Thin sliced white bread, crusts removed
  • Soft margarine
  • Cream cheese or peanut butter
  • Almonds
  • Strawberry Jam
  1. Gently flatten the slices of bread with a rolling pin to make them more pliable.
  2. Spread with a little margarine and some cream cheese or peanut butter.
  3. Roll up the sandwiches and make three indentations with a blunt knife to form the finger joints.
  4. Trim the ends of the fingers into a ‘V’ shape and stick an almond on to each tip with a little cream cheese to form the nails.
  5. Now for the gruesome bit—add a dollop of strawberry jam over the end of the finger for the blood!
